One of the most rewarding parts of being a NYC family photographer is capturing milestones that families will cherish forever. Recently, I had the joy of photographing a kindergarten graduation at a beautiful community space in Rockaway Beach, in the Arverne East Nature Preserve.
What makes this location so special is not just the occasion itself, but the incredible setting. The city has created free, modern, and well-kept community spaces right by the beach—spaces where families can gather, celebrate, and create memories together. This particular venue was filled with natural light, clean lines, and a fresh, modern design that paired perfectly with the joyful energy of the graduates and their families.
A Celebration by the Beach
Graduations—whether kindergarten, high school, or college—are all about marking transitions. But there’s something especially sweet about a kindergarten graduation. It’s the very first academic milestone, a moment when little ones step out of early childhood and into the next chapter of their lives.
