A Timeless Jewish Wedding at Town & Village Synagogue
As a photographer specializing in intimate celebrations, I rarely take on weddings—but this one was special. The groom, a friend of my husband, reached out to me about photographing his wedding at Town & Village Synagogue in NYC, and I knew I had to say yes. The experience was truly unforgettable, filled with tradition, emotion, and an undeniable New York City charm.
The day began with the bride getting ready at the hotel, surrounded by her family. Every detail reflected the love and joy of this milestone moment—from the anticipation in her smile to the heartfelt conversations as she prepared to say "I do."
At the Town & Village Synagogue, the wedding ceremony unfolded beautifully. I captured intimate moments during the signing of the ketubah, a deeply meaningful part of the Jewish wedding tradition. Under the huppah, vows and rings were exchanged, and loved ones watched as the groom broke the glass, symbolizing the start of their journey as husband and wife.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated with close family and a few dear friends at Dirty French, a vibrant Lower East Side restaurant. The post-wedding lunch was full of joy—heartfelt toasts, laughter, and quiet moments shared between the couple, savoring the happiness of their wedding day.
This wedding was intimate, elegant, and uniquely NYC, and it was an honor to document such a special occasion. If you're planning a small wedding in New York City and want timeless, heartfelt photography, I’d love to help you preserve every beautiful moment.
